What the Sun City West Foundation Does For Our Community
A heartfelt THANK YOU everyone who helps Sun City West Foundation (an independent,
501(c)3 charitable corporation) support numerous charitable, educational and service activities
and organizations that serve our wonderful community.
The Foundation receives no funding from the monies you pay to the Recreation Center of Sun
City West or to PORA.
Our programs include:
Helping Hands serves more than 15,000 people annually. We loan medical equipment for
rehabilitation and temporary assistance, as well as many types of children’s equipment for
when the grandchildren visit. Donations enable us to maintain, replace, and update inventory
as needed. We’re open Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and can be reached at
623-975-5499.
Banquet and Meeting Rooms are available for your special events, clubs, and civic, service,
commercial, and religious organizations. We have eight different sized meeting rooms at very
competitive rates including set ups, kitchens, Wi-Fi and so much more! You can reserve a
room by calling 623-584-6851.
And More . . .
Most recently, Sun City West Foundation will begin hosting a food pantry beginning November
1 in the Webb Room. The Foundation is partnering with Valley View Food Bank. Residents may
visit the food pantry if they are in need of food, or they may drop off food to help this very
important endeavor.
Sun City West Foundation also provides warehouse and office space at no cost to PRIDES. We
are home to American Legion Post 94 which allows us to provide storage at no cost for the flags
proudly displayed on RH Johnson Boulevard as well as a drop off spot for flags ready for
retirement, which we pass along to the Legion. We are the only Red Cross Emergency Center in
Sun City West.
Each year the Foundation hosts several seminars from Medicare classes, Basic Estate Plans and
Maricopa County Attorney General’s office has visited us and presented seminars and
education on scams – all to benefit our residents.
The Foundation provides free space for the AARP Tax Program each year – the AARP website
for booking appointments will open mid-January so watch for information.
